Lollipops for Sale

End of term treat!

Tomorrow our Learning Council are selling lollipops for 50p each to raise money for new and exciting things next term.  Please bring in some money so you can support them as you enjoy a little treat.

One Planet Picnic

Tomorrow  we will have our One Planet Picnic Lunch.  Please bring your teddy bear with you.  It would also be great if you have a picnic rug or blanket you could bring in too.

Book Fair

Scholastic Book Fair

Next week we will be hosting a book fair and we would love you to visit! The Book Fair will be open from 3:00pm-4:00pm on Tuesday 16th, Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th June. In addition to this, all classes will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair and buy a book if they wish on Wednesday 17th June. Children should bring some money in with them if they wish to purchase a book on this day.

Egyptian Challenge

Over the next two weeks, it is your challenge to make a model of an Egyptian house.

You can use boxes, cardboard, paper or any other materials you have.  When you have made it you can colour/paint it.

If you want you can add figures, trees or other features.

P 1-4 Athletics

Mr Baillie is coming in to work with children who love to run!  There is an event planned for the end of term and teams will be selected to take part in this.  This starts on Monday, 11th May with P1 and 2 going at 1.30pm, and P3 and 4 going at 2.15pm and will happen each week.  Children will need to bring their trainers with them if they want to take part.

Summer Fayre

Just a note to say that the Summer Fayre will be on Saturday 23rd May from 12.00- 3.00pm.  We’re in need of parents to help from 3.00 onwards on Friday 22nd and if you’re free for any amount of time then please come and meet us in the school hall.

We also need donations for our various stalls –

  • Second-hand toys, games, puzzles
  • DVDs and books
  • a jar filled with something fun (marbles, hair bands, sweets etc
  • Donations for the tombola and bottle stall (shampoo, wine, candle, chocolates etc)
  • Home baking (plates will be sent home during the week of the Fayre

On the morning of the fayre we again need volunteers to help set things up, if you’re free then please contact Michelle or Karen on: michelle_hardie@hotmail.com or karenfrankishbevilacqua@gmail.com

And finally we’re on the look out for any creative people out there to help with face painting on the day… please let us know if you are able to help for an hour or so!
